Celebrate Easter Sunday with family and friends at Bartons Mill.
Enjoy our traditional Sunday roasts, freshly prepared and served from 12pm, making it the perfect way to gather everyone around the table.
For families booking tables in the garden area, we will also have a bouncy castle available from 12pm until 4pm, giving the children plenty of space to play while the adults relax and enjoy their meal.

Join us for a relaxed and creative evening at the beautiful riverside setting of Bartons Mill Pub & Dining in Old Basing. Whether you're a complete beginner or an experienced painter, this is the perfect opportunity to unwind, get creative and enjoy a sociable night out.
Paint with Pals is a welcoming, informal art event where you can paint at your own pace while enjoying great company, food and drinks from the bar.
Choose Your Creative Option
This May, you can choose between two different painting experiences:
Canvas Painting (Self-Led)
Paint whatever you like on a canvas! This option is perfect if you want creative freedom to explore your own ideas, experiment with colours, or work on a design you've been wanting to try.
Spring MDF Decorations (Guided Inspiration)
Prefer a little more structure? Choose from a selection of pre-cut MDF shapes such as spring flowers and botanical leaves. These are great for beginners or anyone who enjoys painting within a shape and creating decorative pieces you can display at home.

Our much-loved Annual Duck Race is back, and we can’t wait to welcome everyone for a fun day by the river. This is one of our favourite community traditions, expect laughter, friendly competition, and plenty to enjoy for all ages.
Join us this Bank Holiday Monday from 12pm for a full day of family fun by the river. Expect duck races, games, great food, cold drinks, and all the summer vibes.
How it works
Numbered ducks are released into the water and race their way downstream. Cheer yours on and see if it crosses the finish line first, there are prizes up for grabs for the winners.
On the day you can enjoy:
• A great atmosphere on the riverside
• Children’s activities and family fun
• Food and drinks available from the pub
• Raffles and spot prizes throughout the event
Bring friends, family, and your best cheering voice, and don’t forget to pick your duck early as numbers are limited.

The Tales of Peter Rabbit and Benjamin Bunny Outdoor Theatre
Save the Date – Outdoor Theatre at Barton’s Mill
Join us on Friday 21st August 2026 at 3pm as we welcome Quantum Theatre back to our beautiful riverside garden for a magical summer performance on our private patio by the water.
This year brings a charming new adaptation of Beatrix Potter’s beloved tales – The Tales of Peter Rabbit and Benjamin Bunny.
The mischievous cousins just can’t resist Mr McGregor’s garden… but their adventure soon turns into a a series of scrapes, surprises and narrow escapes! Will Old Mr Bunny come to the rescue? And what will Mr McGregor make of those mysterious footprints in his flower beds?
Bring the whole family and settle in for a wonderful afternoon of outdoor theatre, storytelling and fun in a stunning riverside setting.
Feel free to bring your own chair or blanket, or relax on one of the chairs we’ll have available.
Our bar and kitchen will be open throughout, serving plenty of food and drinks to enjoy during the show.

Join us at Bartons Mill for a magical afternoon of outdoor theatre as Immersion Theatre bring their energetic musical adaptation of Rudyard Kipling’s The Jungle Book to life.
Packed with original music, audience interaction and larger-than-life characters, this wildly entertaining production follows Mowgli and his friends Baloo the bear and Bagheera the panther on a thrilling jungle adventure. Along the way they must outwit a slithering snake, some mischievous monkeys and the fierce tiger Shere Khan.
Funny, exciting and full of energy, this AOOO-some musical promises laughter and adventure for the whole family.
